GUIDE / FLUENCE AI

AI courses for teams: what each function actually needs

Short answer: Every team needs the same core: brief clearly, check the output, protect sensitive data. What changes by function is the practice material and the risks. Train each team on its own tasks.

The shared core

This is the content of AI literacy training. Everything below sits on top of it.

What each function needs

HR and people teams

Drafting job adverts and policies, summarising feedback, preparing communications. Key skill: keeping personal information out of public tools and never letting AI make a hiring or disciplinary decision alone.

Finance and operations

Summarising reports, checking reconciliations, drafting procedures. Key skill: verifying every figure, since a fluent answer can still be wrong.

Sales and marketing

Drafting outreach, preparing proposals, researching accounts. Key skill: keeping claims accurate and a human voice on anything a client reads.

Customer service

Drafting replies, summarising cases, finding answers in your own material. Key skill: knowing when to escalate and what must never be promised.

Legal, risk and compliance

Reading and comparing documents, preparing first drafts. Key skill: treating AI as a drafting aid and never as a source of authority.

Managers and team leads

Setting expectations, reviewing AI-assisted work, spotting poor use. Key skill: knowing what good review looks like.

How we run it

We build exercises from each team's real tasks and run them on the tools your company allows. Formats from a half day to three days are on the AI Enablement page. Not sure where to start? Our pre-rollout checklist helps.

Common questions

Should every team get the same AI course?

The core skills are shared. The practice tasks and risks differ, so each team gets more from exercises built on its own work.

Which team should start first?

Usually the teams that read, write and check the most, such as HR, finance, operations and customer service.

Can one session mix several functions?

Yes for the shared core. Use separate sessions for function-specific practice.

Do managers need their own session?

Often yes. They need to know what good review of AI-assisted work looks like.
