What is AI fluency, and why does my team need it?
Short answer: AI fluency is knowing how to get good work from an AI tool and how to tell when it has got something wrong. It builds on skills your people already have.
A chat window is only as good as the person typing into it. The people who get the most from AI read closely, write clearly, check their sources, push back and bring what they know from experience. None of that is new. It is what good work has always needed. AI makes those basics more valuable, not less.
How it differs from tool training
Tool training shows where the buttons are. Fluency training is about judgement: what to ask, what to trust, what to check, and when a person has to step in. Tools change every few months. The judgement carries over.
Who it is for
Teams that already have access to AI tools but are getting uneven results, and staff who are not technical and do not need to be. Most people will only ever use AI through a chat or voice window, and that is fine.
